Questions and answers
How long can the GIF be?
Up to 30 seconds. GIFs get very large beyond that; for longer clips, an MP4 is smaller and looks better.
Is my video uploaded?
No. The GIF is made in your browser.
How do I make the GIF smaller?
Lower the width or the frame rate, or shorten the clip. 640 pixels wide at 10 frames a second suits most screen recordings.
Why are my screen recordings WebM?
Chrome and Edge record video as WebM, so most browser-based screen recorders save that format. Emaki can also save a recording as MP4.
