Emaki Free vs Pro
Capturing is free: full page, scrolling area and visible area screenshots, autoscroll, and saving as PNG, JPG or PDF, with no account. Emaki Pro ($10/month or $100/year) adds the screenshot editor, blur, sticky header removal, PDFs stamped with the page URL and time, share links, guide PDFs of any length and longer captures. Pro + AI ($20/month or $200/year) adds 100 AI uses a month, for AI edits and guide step text. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial of either.

When the free version is enough
You may never need Pro. The free plan is enough when:
- You want a whole page, or a long chat, feed or panel, as one image, and a PNG is all you need.
- Your captures fit in 150 shots. A shot is about one screen of the page or area.
- You don't need to crop or mark up the screenshot, or you already do that in another app.
- Nothing in the screenshot has to be hidden before you share it.
- You use autoscroll to read long pages hands-free. It's the same on every plan.
- Your step-by-step guides fit in 10 steps, and a PDF is how you hand them out.
- Sticky headers don't get in the way. If they do, a larger overlap or picking the inner scrolling element usually avoids them for free; see full page screenshots without repeating sticky headers.
Who Pro and Pro + AI are for
Emaki Pro PRO
$10/month or $100/year. For people who share screenshots for work: bug reports, how-tos, support replies and records.
- Mark up screenshots with arrows, boxes, text and numbered steps
- Blur names, emails and numbers before you share
- Send a link that expires after 1, 7 or 30 days instead of an attachment
- Stamp PDFs with the page URL and capture time on every page
- Remove repeating sticky headers from full page screenshots
- Capture very long pages and chats, up to 1000 shots
- Step-by-step guides with PDFs of any length, Markdown export, version history and share links
Emaki Pro + AI
$20/month or $200/year. For people who need a screenshot to look right, not only marked up: for docs, slides, demos and marketing.
- Everything in Pro
- Edit a screenshot by describing the change
- Remove a cookie banner or popup, fix a typo, reword a heading or clear out clutter
- AI step text for guides, written on this computer when Chrome supports it
- 100 AI uses a month: each edit, or a whole guide's step text, is one
If you only need to mark up, blur and share screenshots, Pro is enough.
Questions and answers
What's the difference between Emaki Free and Emaki Pro?
Free captures full pages, scrolling areas and the visible area, with autoscroll, and saves them as PNG, JPG or PDF, up to 150 shots per capture. Emaki Pro, $10/month or $100/year, adds the screenshot editor (crop, arrows, boxes, text, blur, highlighter, numbered steps and pen), sticky header removal, PDFs stamped with the page URL and time, WebP export, beautify, share links that expire, step-by-step guides with PDFs of any length, Markdown export and version history, and captures up to 1000 shots long.
What does Pro + AI add?
Pro + AI, $20/month or $200/year, is everything in Pro plus 100 AI uses a month. In the editor, describe a change, such as removing a cookie banner or fixing a typo, and it's made: each edit is one use. In a guide, AI writes the step text for up to 50 steps, which counts as one use for the whole guide; it's written on this computer when Chrome supports it, otherwise from the step images by Google's Gemini API. If you're on Pro, you can switch and pay only the prorated difference.
Are step-by-step guides free?
Yes. Turning a tab recording into a guide, editing it, blurring private details and saving it in your browser are free, and so is a PDF of up to 10 steps with no watermark. Emaki Pro adds PDFs of any length, Markdown export, version history and share links of up to 100 steps that stop working after 1, 7 or 30 days or stay up until you delete them. Pro + AI also writes the step text.
Do I need an account to use Emaki?
Not for the free plan: capturing, autoscroll and PNG, JPG and PDF downloads work without one. Pro and Pro + AI need an Appzlr account, so your plan works in both the extension and the editor.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. If you've never subscribed, Pro and Pro + AI start with a 7-day free trial. You add a payment method at checkout but aren't charged during the trial, and if you cancel before it ends you pay nothing.
Is the yearly plan cheaper?
Yes. Pro is $100 a year instead of $120 paid monthly, and Pro + AI is $200 a year instead of $240: two months free.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from your account at emaki.appzlr.com/account/ or from the Pro dialog in Emaki. Your plan stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
