A GoFullPage alternative with scrolling-area capture
Emaki is a free Chrome extension that takes full page screenshots like GoFullPage, and also lets you click the exact chat, feed or panel that scrolls inside a page, see a preview of what you picked, and capture just that. It adds autoscroll and a free screen recorder with camera and mic.

What Emaki does differently
You choose what scrolls
On a page with several scrolling parts, like a chat app with a sidebar, a message list and a thread, Emaki's Scrolling area mode captures the one you click. The side panel shows a preview of it, and says how many screens long it is, before you start.
Autoscroll
Emaki also scrolls pages for you while you read, from 40 to 4000 pixels per second, up or down, with looping. Alt+Shift+S starts and stops it.
A screen recorder in the same extension
Record a tab with its sound, your microphone and a webcam bubble, or a page scrolling by itself from top to bottom. Trim it, save it as MP4 or turn it into a GIF, for free.
Sticky headers and private details
With Emaki Pro, fixed headers and banners appear once instead of repeating down the image, and the editor blurs names, emails and numbers before you share.
When GoFullPage may suit you better
- You only ever take whole-page screenshots and want the simplest one-click tool.
- You'd rather use the extension with the most users and reviews in the Chrome Web Store.
- You already pay for GoFullPage Premium and its editor does what you need.
Questions and answers
Is Emaki free like GoFullPage?
Yes. Full page, scrolling area and visible area screenshots are free, up to 150 shots per capture. Capturing, autoscroll, screen recording and PNG, JPG and PDF downloads need no account. Emaki Pro, $10/month or $100/year, adds the editor, blur, sticky header removal, share links and captures up to 1000 shots long.
Can Emaki screenshot a long chat that scrolls inside the page?
Yes. Choose Scrolling area, click the chat and press Capture the whole area. Emaki scrolls just that chat from top to bottom and stitches it into one image, even when the page around it doesn't scroll.
Can I use Emaki and GoFullPage together?
Yes. They don't interfere with each other. Each one opens from its own toolbar icon.
Does Emaki upload my screenshots?
No. Screenshots are made on your computer and never uploaded, unless you create a share link with Emaki Pro or use an AI edit on Pro + AI.
